Finest Hour (ファイネストアワー) is a run and gun arcade game that was released by Namco in 1989 and re-released for the Wii Virtual Console on August 25, 2009 only in Japan.
The gameplay includes the player strapped inside an assault mech, equipped with laser beams, jump-jets and auto-targeting systems in order to destroy enemy forces.
Many of the stages' names seem to be named after songs by the rock band Rush - for example, "Distant Early Warning" and "Subdivisions".
